Orchard Toys Jigsaws

We started selling Orchard Toys after we bought our then 14 month old his first jigsaw puzzle. It was the Orchard Toys Rescue Squad jigsaw puzzle and he wouldn't leave it alone. He very quickly learned how to put the vehicles together and match the drivers. He adored the bright colours and the cheerful faces. As he got older his imagination kicked in and he imagined scenarios with all the vehicles and walked the characters around the room. The thick cardboard pieces were large enough for him to do that. He carried on playing with it for many months and years and still gets it out occasionally now.

His next jigsaw was the Orchard Toys Big Tractor jigsaw. He was going through a "tractor phase" so this was the ideal jigsaw puzzle for him to move onto. A bright red tractor floor puzzle with 25 pieces provided him with quite a challenge, but he soon mastered the jigsaw and was able to put it together at an alarming rate.

What could we get him next? We chose the Orchard Toys Map of Great Britain and Ireland jigsaw puzzle. We just have to find space on his wall for the poster now. This jigsaw puzzle has enabled us to teach him about different places in a fun way. We can teach him about the food, the customs, the animals and famous people of the UK. Unlike some other floor puzzles available Orchard Toys' pieces are chunky and stay together even if the floor isn't completely flat. You don't need to push the jigsaw back together every time someone touches a piece and moves it out of place. We are biased, of course, because we stock them, but we do like the fact they are British made from recycled cardboard. As parents ourselves we are keen to protect the environment for our children's future and anything that reuses our precious resources and minimises transport miles must be good.
